Latin name: Citrus mitis Calamondin is a cross between Tangerine and Kumquat. It has fruits all year round as small as a Christmas tree. Flowering: March-April and September-November Dimensions: Maximum height 2.5- 3m./ Maximum crown diameter 2- 2.5m. Calamodin is an evergreen, fruit-bearing tree of slow growth with glossy, green, leathery leaves. It withstands frost and during fruiting it needs proper fertilization and watering. It has white flowering almost all year round and orange fruits, smaller than the mandarin, which also ripen according to the flowering. Prefers sunny positions, in fertile soils and not calcareous ones
